On a Saturday morning when he was a young lad, Eerok Trawets went to the local college with his father, renowned physicist Kich Trawets. While his dad wasn't looking, Eerok wandered around until he found a small tucked away office with a peculiar looking contraption with a large door. Being a curious little boy, he opened the door and crawled in. He closed the door behind him, promptly fell asleep and was lost to the outside world for days.

Dr. Krzyindahead, a psychology professor finally came back to his office on Tuesday for classes. To his amazement, he saw that his sensory depravation chamber was currently occupied. He opened the door and little Eerok lunged at him and bit off part of the Doctor's rather formidable bushy beard. Eerok then ran mumbling and barking (and some say drooling) down the hall.

A transformation had taken place.

Eerok's parents were worried. Nothing seemed to calm their boy down. Anytime anyone would approach him, Eerok would lash out with such ferocity that he would sometimes belch very loudly (while he barked and mumbled). One day Eerok's friend Tocs Lachuts came over and offered him a drink from his Cherokee Red Bottle. As Tocs walked it toward Eerok, he passed through a shaft of light streaming in from the window. Eerok immediately quit his barking and mumbling and began quickly talking (still mumbling at times though). As Tocs came closer and left the light of the sun, Eerok went ballistic again. Tocs instinctively backed up into the light again. Eerok got his sanity back.

After some experimenting, Eerok's parents found that Eerok would calm down considerably when a clear bottle with a colored liquid in it was put in the path of a light. During these times, Eerok recounted a tale very suspicious and strange...

FUNKY MAD COG EMERGES!!!

While he was trapped in the sensory deprivation chamber, Eerok said he saw glowing liquids in the pitch black. They talked to him and christened him with the name FUNKY MAD COG. The liquids contained entities called Dee-Dars. The Dee-Dars were all knowing, but could only communicate with Eerok when there was glowing liquid around him. Also, the brighter the liquid and darker the room, The clearer the messages came through.

Eerok's father suggested a Black light in a dark room. Eerok, who would now only respond to FUNKY MAD COG, retreated to the Snake Ass Mountains. He built a secret lab under the living rock located within the Snake Ass range of Mountains. Armed with a black light and his chemistry set (and a flashlight and bottle of Cherokee Red--to keep his sanity), FUNKY MAD COG emerged a decade later, having created GLOWBOTTLES, the brightest glowing liquids on the planet when highlighted with a black light. He could finally speak with the Dee-Dars again while keeping his sanity.
